Tu B'shevat Seder!  On Tuesday, January 26th at 7:00 PM, join your TBI community for a festive celebration of Tu B'Shevat, the "New Years of the Trees."  The idea of a Tu B'Shevat seder dates back to the times of the Kabbalists, the Jewish mystics, and is a meaningful way to think about the gifts of nature and our obligation to protect our environment.

To participate fully in the seder, please have ready the following items:

  • Red and white grape juice (or wine!)
  • A fruit/nut with an inedible outer shell and an edible inner core, like a banana, grapefruit, orange, pineapple, pistachio, pomegranate, pomelo, or walnut
  • A fruit with an edible outer flesh and an inedible core, like an apricot, avocado, cherry, mango, peach, or plum
  • A fruit which is entirely edible, like a blackberry, blueberry, grape, raspberry, or strawberry
