YOM KIPPUR SERVICE HAPPENING TODAY (SATURDAY) AT 3 PM
TBI will be having an abbreviated Yom Kippur service today at 3:00 PM. The service will occur indoors with all of our doors open to create a comfortable breeze. Dress will be casual.
This will be followed by a small Break the Fast.
Tomorrow (Sunday) we will be having a campus clean-up day, starting at 10:00 AM. If you plan on attending, please bring tools, water, bug spray, and any other equipment that you think may help in cleanup.
We look forward to seeing you at either of these events.
Hurricane Milton - Thursday Update
Hurricane Milton has passed. So far we have only heard that people are dealing with tree debris and power outages. If you have more significant damage, please leave a message for Rabbi Birnholz at (727) 531-5829.
Our campus is without power. The building is okay but there are lots of power lines and tree debris down, on and around campus. While Rabbi and Jill Birnholz are back in Pinellas, the rest of the staff is still making their way back. The Birnholz family and many others do not have power.
Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, with so many outages, debris, and limited resources, we are not going to hold our Kol Nidre services. All the other nearby congregations are in a similar circumstance. We hope you will be able to stream a service, or if evacuated, go to a service near you.

We will do a highlights of Yom Kippur service including Yizkor with Rabbi and Cantor Jenny, at 3:00 PM on Saturday. Please feel free to dress casual - we know people are coming from homes with no power. Feel free to wear “camp whites” if that will help you feel appropriate for the holiday.
If there is power we hope to be inside and can offer the service via livestream. If no power, we will have an adventurous, outdoor Yom Kippur. Bring beach chairs if you have them and dress for the outdoors.
We will send more information tomorrow once we know what stores might be open and if we can pool enough resources for a break the fast.
Finally, if you're up for helping to debris on our campus, please leave a message for Rabbi Birnholz at (727) 531-5829 or email rabbibirnholz@tbiclearwater.org.
We hope all are well and while it's not Yom Kippur we had hoped for, given the forecasts for Hurricane Milton and the results, let's make the most of what we can.
