We are Temple B'nai Israel (TBI), a reform synagogue in beautiful Clearwater, Florida. We strive to be the beacon of Reform Judaism, inspiring a shared culture of commitment and enthusiastic involvement in our community through outstanding educational and spiritual programs focused on perpetuating our traditions of Torah, family, faith, tolerance and tzedakah.
One of the oldest congregations in Pinellas County, our history dates back to 1949 when a surge of Jewish families began moving into Pinellas County after World War II. Ours is a vital, warm, committed, and caring membership that creates a deep sense of community in all that we do.
We’ve always been a congregation of people dedicated to the improvement of the lives of others as a means of honoring God. We take pride in the fact that our programming and services remain vibrant and relevant. New families in the community as well as existing families join together as an active part of this wonderful extended family.
We invite you to join Rabbi Michael Birnholz, Cantorial Soloist Jeromy Silverman, and Religious Director Jill Birnholz and our congregation in sharing ruach and koach - spirit and strength – as we come together on Saturday, November 2, 2024, to honor 75 years of growth, providing for the needs of the Jewish community of Clearwater, Pinellas and surrounding counties.
